Production Supervisor – Spindale, NC

Position Overview:

Facilitates manufacturing of products by supervising staff, organizing production and monitoring work flow.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by: (1) communicating job expectations; (2) planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; (3) coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; (4) initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains staff by selecting, orienting and training employees as well as developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Maintains work flow by: (1) monitoring steps of the process; (2) setting/managing processing variables; (3) observing control points and equipment; (4) monitoring personnel and resources;  (4) implementing cost reductions; (5) developing reporting procedures and systems; (6) facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; (7) initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Completes production plan by: (1) scheduling and assigning personnel; (2) accomplishing work results and establishing priorities; (3) monitoring progress and revising schedules as necessary; (4) resolving problems; (5) reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs in a timely manner as well as evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data as well as answering questions and responding to requests.
  • Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control and budgetary & personnel requirements. Implements change as required to facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources. Maintains compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions and recommending action.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Skills/Qualifications: Supervision, Coaching, Managing Processes, Process Improvement (Lean Manufacturing principles), Production Planning, Dealing with Complexity, Textiles and sewing experience a plus, Bi-lingual (Spanish) definitely a plus, Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Cost Accountant – Hendersonville, NC

Position Overview:

The Cost Accountant is responsible for applying effective analysis principles to accurately reflect product costs in the development of Standard Costs. The Cost Accountant reports to the Engineering and Cost Manager.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Plan, study, and collect data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor.
  • Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost.
  • Create and review the controls needed for data accumulation and reporting systems.
  • Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
  • Investigate cycle counting variances and resolve issues. Reconcile inventories.
  • Report on periodic variances and their causes, focusing in particular on spending variances.
  • Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.
  • Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
  • Update standard costs in the bill of materials.
  • Validate the cost of goods sold as part of the month-end close.
  • Accumulate and apply overhead costs as required by generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Make estimates of new and proposed product costs.
  • Develop and manage Cost / Price analysis spec. sheets.
  • Prepare customer and product pricing analysis.
  • Conduct research and perform analytical studies in regard to cost analysis and profitability.
  • Continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Cost Accounting in a Manufacturing Environment with a Standard Cost System
  • Manufacturing accounting experience.
  • Standard Cost experience.
  • ERP/MRP experience is necessary.
  • CPA/CMA certification is a plus.

  • Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of cost standards.
  • Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports.

 Maintenance Supervisor – Spindale, NC

Position Overview:

Maintenance Supervisor with Industrial Electrician background and Electronics repair experience will manage/supervise the Maintenance Team.  The position will install electrical components, equipment and maintain facility equipment and provide supervision and scheduling of the Maintenance Team.

Essential Job Functions:

Maintenance Supervisor is hands on working supervisor that is experienced as an industrial electrician and in electronics. Position will install maintain and repair electrical systems and electronics in an industrial facility environment. They will make sure that electrical systems and electronics are safe and running efficiently. May have to repair large electrical equipment, like industrial fans, large motors, or control systems. This position is part of the construction, install and testing for new equipment and systems, repairs or maintains older, pre-existing systems.

Education and Experience:

  • 2 years as Electrician with Electronics repair experience
  • 1 year Supervisory experience

Key Competencies:

Job duties require reading blueprints and following wiring diagrams of circuits and wiring, and use many different hand and diagnostic tools in testing and fixing equipment.

Provide assistance to Maintenance staff and duties as assigned by Supervisor. Perform basic maintenance duties and functions.
