Cost Accountant – Hendersonville, NC

Position Overview:

The Cost Accountant is responsible for applying effective analysis principles to accurately reflect product costs in the development of Standard Costs. The Cost Accountant reports to the Engineering and Cost Manager.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Plan, study, and collect data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor.
  • Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost.
  • Create and review the controls needed for data accumulation and reporting systems.
  • Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
  • Investigate cycle counting variances and resolve issues. Reconcile inventories.
  • Report on periodic variances and their causes, focusing in particular on spending variances.
  • Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.
  • Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
  • Update standard costs in the bill of materials.
  • Validate the cost of goods sold as part of the month-end close.
  • Accumulate and apply overhead costs as required by generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Make estimates of new and proposed product costs.
  • Develop and manage Cost / Price analysis spec. sheets.
  • Prepare customer and product pricing analysis.
  • Conduct research and perform analytical studies in regard to cost analysis and profitability.
  • Continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Cost Accounting in a Manufacturing Environment with a Standard Cost System
  • Manufacturing accounting experience.
  • Standard Cost experience.
  • ERP/MRP experience is necessary.
  • CPA/CMA certification is a plus.

  • Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of cost standards.

Production Planner/Scheduler


Position Overview:
The Production Planner and Scheduler is responsible for the daily activities of planning and production related to the
demand planning process to meet customer expectations.


Job Functions:

  • Coordinate production planning/scheduling of finished goods inventory and devise methods and policies to ensure the most efficient and economical movement of work-in-process materials.
  • Manage the production planning on all incoming orders. This involves working with various departments to ensure components made in-house will be available at the proper time.
  • Analyze trends in order to assess present and future component availability.
  • Review Customer orders and contracts for conformance to company policy. 
  • Monitoring all new purchasing components and service projects to effect timely follow-up and reasonable implementation of new items, new vendors and effective communication between all parties, Purchasing, New Products, Sales and Manufacturing.
  • Provide timely turn-around on all requests of customer orders to ensure adequate delivery of goods, information, and services.
  • Develops and revises the Master Production Schedule to meet customer expectations.
  • Establishes and ensures that the production schedule is accurate, timely and updated for all production areas.
  • Facilitates the revision of planning schedules and priorities as a result of internal/external customer requirements or operational constraints.
  • Follows up to ensure a proactive approach to demand management and delivery to customer expectations and internal commitments.
  • Inputs metrics related to planning including delivery performance to customer request dates, delivery performance to internal commitment dates and component inventory levels and stock outs associated with purchased and internally
  • manufactured components.
  • Communicates needs and objectives to key personnel in procurement, product development, manufacturing and sales.
  • Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
  • Assists in the determination of and implementation of stocking order thresholds to allow the organizations to continually improve shipping performance.

Apparel Sewing Supervisor – Spindale, NC

Summary

The production supervisor is responsible for the execution of all production work of converting cut goods into sewn goods as per tech packs instructions. The Supervisor delivers goods on a designated shipment date. He or she is responsible for sewing, and finishing of apparel goods.  The supervisor works with the different heads of the different departments to help ensure products leaves on time.  

Duties and responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise sewing floor to achieve best results
  • Manage production to ensure schedules and quality standards are met
  • Provide leadership in the areas of auditing, standards of work, and best practices
  • Hire, train, develop and coach team in personal goals, accountabilities and monitoring of quality
  • Develop and supervise training, cross-training and rotation plans for employees to increase flexibility and create a workforce that can compensate for sudden changes in demand/resources
  • Recommend and implement process improvements for designated functional area
  • Actively supervise, administer and enforce plant policies and procedures
  • Work with other Value Stream Managers, supervisors and leads to resolve problem situations

Night Shift Manufacturing Manager – Spindale, NC

Position Overview:

Responsible for managing all production activities for MWW products by supervising staff, organizing production and monitoring workflow.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Overall management responsibility for operations of plant manufacturing and overseeing all departments on the night shift.
  • Operational support for print & transfer sampling, on-demand module, management of processes and resources to fabricate products for each department.
  • Make decisions on labor requirements necessary to execute production, including OT usage, FTE increases/decreases during production waves, etc. Work with HR and staffing agencies to maintain proper job fulfillment goals.
  • Oversee and track employee attendance, wage, abilities and progression based on set standards.
  • Understand equipment needs and conditions across all departments
  • Manage a team consisting of 3 print leads, 2 transfer leads, canvas lead, technical supervisor
  • Aide production control & engineering in capacity measurement and analysis.
  • Utilize data provided from quality control to analyze issues and direct/support continuous production improvement opportunities throughout production processes.
  • Support MWW management policies and procedures and enforce in day-to-day activities.

Education and Experience:

  • 3 years as a supervisor in an industrial environment
  • Experience managing a segment of a large manufacturing area or an entire operation of a small manufacturing facility

Maintenance Electrician – Spindale, NC

Position Overview:

Installation and maintenance of electrical and electronic equipment

Essential Job Functions:

Install Industrial Electrical & Electronic equipment, set-up and install electrical panels, sub-panels, calculate load requirements for wiring and Breakers panels and related equipment, Diagnose A/C and D/C drives and related equipment, design and install control circuits and devices to upgrade machinery, basic PLC diagnostics, and programing. Install and upkeep of networking cabling. Design and install conduit systems for related wiring.

Voltage range from 110 to 600 VAC 3 phase, control DC voltages.

Education and Experience:

  • 3 years minimum with three phase electrical wiring
  • Basic PLC operation and programming
  • Experience calculating electrical system load related to machinery installation
  • Experience with NEC code book and application
  • Experience reading Schematics and blueprints related to electrical and electronic application
  • 1 year diagnostics and troubleshooting for, motor, PLC, electrical circuitry,
  • Natural Gas burner controls and burners experience a plus
