Apparel Developer – Hendersonville, NC

Position Overview: 

Energetic and creative apparel developer to create ready to wear apparel for a broad range of existing and potential customers.  Would oversee the products from concept to completion, including working with engineering, costing and manufacturing departments.  Apparel styles ranging from athleisure to “classic” basic dresses.

Design & Development MOD – Hendersonville, NC

Position Overview:

Create and innovate new products and new product concepts for the MOD industry.  Work with in-house development, engineering and manufacturing as well as external sources, including international, to bring products to launch.  Understanding and knowledge of trends in fashion, home décor and basic gifts a must; especially for the on-demand industry. 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Stay abreast of the latest trends in fashion, home décor and basic gifts; especially as it relates to the MOD customer’s demographics for their customer base.
  • Knowledge of the pricing and price expectations of the MOD industry.
  • Ability to coordinate the activities of product development, engineering and manufacturing to bring a product from concept to launch.
  • Work with sales department to understand special requests and input from customers in the MOD division.
  • Meet with customers both in-home office as well as at their location when needed. (currently suspended with COVID protocol).
  • Travel to Asia annually. (pending COVID protocol)
  • Travel to various trade shows domestically approximately 5 times annually. (pending COVID protocol)

PURCHASING/BUYER – Hendersonville, NC

Position Overview:

The purchasing Buyer provides support to the Director of Purchasing in ensuring all aspects of procurement of new and existing components and service and consistent quality of components by developing and enforcing good manufacturing systems validation processes, timely follow-up and providing documentation.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Locate vendors of materials, equipment, supplies, and service contracts, and interview them in order to determine product availability, service, and terms of sales. Negotiated contracts and formulated policies with vendors domestically.
  • Build and develop relationships with key suppliers and customers.
  • Prepare capital projects.
  • Resolve vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers.
  • Review defective or unacceptable products or services with vendors and others to determine cause of problem and take corrective and preventative action.
  • Analyze market trends in order to assess present and future material availability and cost.
  • Review purchase orders and contracts for conformance to company policy.
  • Monitoring all new purchasing components and service projects to effect timely follow up and reasonable implementation of new items, new vendors and effective communication between all parties, Purchasing, New Products, Sales and manufacturing.
  • Provide timely turn-around on all requests of new items and purchase components to ensure adequate delivery of goods, information, and services.
  • Compile, tracks and analyzes specific cost data and reports on any cost savings between existing or new vendors.
  • Assist with identifying key characteristics that need to be measured on each item and help develop component specification sheet that lists the requirement that must be met for the product.
  • Assists with authorizes payment for purchases by forwarding the necessary receiving documentation.
  • Preparing confidential information.
  • Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
  • Responsible for planning and analyzing inventory levels of all raw materials, components, etc., and forecast procurement needs. Initiate re-ordering of products as appropriate.
  • Review and analyze surplus materials and determine methods to either utilize in current products or other outlets to remove from inventory.
  • Liaison with accounts payable department to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices as necessary for the business with the suppliers.
  • Maintain records and/or receipts on all purchases and provide documentation to the Accounts Payable in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies, components, equipment, and service contracts as per negotiated and appropriately approved.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Two-year degree preferred and one year of buying experience OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Cost Accountant – Hendersonville, NC

Position Overview:

The Cost Accountant is responsible for applying effective analysis principles to accurately reflect product costs in the development of Standard Costs. The Cost Accountant reports to the Engineering and Cost Manager.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Plan, study, and collect data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor.
  • Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost.
  • Create and review the controls needed for data accumulation and reporting systems.
  • Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
  • Investigate cycle counting variances and resolve issues. Reconcile inventories.
  • Report on periodic variances and their causes, focusing in particular on spending variances.
  • Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.
  • Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
  • Update standard costs in the bill of materials.
  • Validate the cost of goods sold as part of the month-end close.
  • Accumulate and apply overhead costs as required by generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Make estimates of new and proposed product costs.
  • Develop and manage Cost / Price analysis spec. sheets.
  • Prepare customer and product pricing analysis.
  • Conduct research and perform analytical studies in regard to cost analysis and profitability.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Cost Accounting in a Manufacturing Environment with a Standard Cost System
  • Manufacturing accounting experience.
  • Standard Cost experience.
  • ERP/MRP experience is necessary.
  • CPA/CMA certification is a plus.

Logistics Manager – Hendersonville, NC

MWW is looking for a talented and qualified Logistics Manager to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for all supply chain management duties including selecting carriers, researching shipping methods, going over invoices. The candidate must demonstrate strong attention to detail in order to oversee daily operations and logistics employees. In addition to having excellent organizational skills, you should also possess in-depth knowledge of logistics.

Night Shift Manufacturing Manager – Spindale, NC

Position Overview:

Responsible for managing all production activities for MWW products by supervising staff, organizing production and monitoring workflow.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Overall management responsibility for operations of plant manufacturing and overseeing all departments on the night shift.
  • Operational support for print & transfer sampling, on-demand module, management of processes and resources to fabricate products for each department.
  • Make decisions on labor requirements necessary to execute production, including OT usage, FTE increases/decreases during production waves, etc. Work with HR and staffing agencies to maintain proper job fulfillment goals.
  • Oversee and track employee attendance, wage, abilities and progression based on set standards.
  • Understand equipment needs and conditions across all departments
  • Manage a team consisting of 3 print leads, 2 transfer leads, canvas lead, technical supervisor
  • Aide production control & engineering in capacity measurement and analysis.
  • Utilize data provided from quality control to analyze issues and direct/support continuous production improvement opportunities throughout production processes.
  • Support MWW management policies and procedures and enforce in day-to-day activities.

Education and Experience:

  • 3 years as a supervisor in an industrial environment
  • Experience managing a segment of a large manufacturing area or an entire operation of a small manufacturing facility

Maintenance Electrician – Spindale, NC

Position Overview:

Installation and maintenance of electrical and electronic equipment

Essential Job Functions:

Install Industrial Electrical & Electronic equipment, set-up and install electrical panels, sub-panels, calculate load requirements for wiring and Breakers panels and related equipment, Diagnose A/C and D/C drives and related equipment, design and install control circuits and devices to upgrade machinery, basic PLC diagnostics, and programing. Install and upkeep of networking cabling. Design and install conduit systems for related wiring.

Voltage range from 110 to 600 VAC 3 phase, control DC voltages.

Education and Experience:

  • 3 years minimum with three phase electrical wiring
  • Basic PLC operation and programming
  • Experience calculating electrical system load related to machinery installation
  • Experience with NEC code book and application
  • Experience reading Schematics and blueprints related to electrical and electronic application
  • 1 year diagnostics and troubleshooting for, motor, PLC, electrical circuitry,
  • Natural Gas burner controls and burners experience a plus
